Enviro-Glass is a new concept in decorative garden aggregates based on 100% recycled glass bottles. Enviro-Glass is recycled glass that has been crushed, graded, washed, tumbled,dried and packed. The product is available in four principal colours: Blue,Green, White, and Amber. All colours are available in two sizes:3-6mm fine Gravel and 6-10mm Gravel. | Commonly Asked Questions: How is Enviro-Glass produced? |
| The product has undergone several processing stages before finally being packed. Firstly the glass bottles are crushed and any remaining tops and labels are removed. The glass is then graded , sterilised , tumbled and dried in a purpose built plant . |
| Is Enviro-Glass safe? |
| The extensive processing and tumbling causes any sharp edges to be removed . Enviro-Glass is safe to walk on , however , we do not recommend the larger 6-10mm size for footpaths where children play. (See Health & Safety Assessment Spec . Feb 2001) |
| Is Enviro-Glass colourfast? |
| YES , the glass is a natural coloured crystal. |
| Will the particles shatter? |
| Unlikely, the grains of Enviro-Glass are very strong and the tumbling process removes any cracked pieces. |
| How is Enviro-Glass Packaged? |
| All colours and sizes are available in 20kg bags (50bags to a pallet ) |
| Coverage and Estimating Guide |
| For Visual Effect:1 Bag (20kg) will cover approx 1 m2 at 20mm depth . For Footpaths:1 Bag (20kg) will cover approx 1/2 m2 at 40mm depth. |
